Giving the right gifts can be tough, especially when you aren’t the best gift giver. Putting thought into something someone might actually like and use is difficult, so we’re putting together a basic gift guide that any athlete/ sport lover would enjoy in order to make this season a bit easier.

1.    Socks

This one sounds basic, but all athletes love a good pair of Nike or Adidas socks. They can be used for practice, games, staying at home, or even going out. No amount of socks is too many socks. We suggest checking what brand most of their shoes are so you can purchase the according socks!

2.    Recovery Items

With sports comes aches so recovery goodies are always a great gift to receive. Whether it’s icy hot, tiger balm, or a massage gun, adding a recovery item to a bag of small gifts hits the right spot for most athletes. This one fits more towards people that practice sports and are active but either way, as the age comes so does the body soreness and pain so these items can be good for everyone!

3.    Team Merchandise

Adding to someone’s collection of ways to represent their favorite team is a prime gift idea. Whether it be hats, t shirts, cups, jerseys, or even socks, hitting them where their passion lies is a great way of giving the best gift. Team merch is not only a great gift, but it shows the person receiving it that you know the team they love which will mean even more to them.

4.    Something From The Heart

Not every gift comes with monetary value. Drawing a picture of them playing, writing a note demonstrating proudness and happiness, sharing a memory with significance can be even more valuable than something materialistic. There is a plethora of ways of giving a gift without having to spend money on it so finding a way to demonstrate love through something thoughtful is key for this choice.

5.    Headphones

We can always use a good pair of noise cancelling headphones or a backup pair to travel with because we all know the frustration of forgetting them before our workout and having to drive back home vs having to workout in silence or needing a way to block the people who come to the gym to socialize. 🙄
