What is most widely known as the home arena of the Los Angeles Lakers and the home to the Clippers of the NBA, Sparks of the WNBA, and the Kings of the NHL recently changed its name from the Staples Center to Crypto.com Arena in a naming rights deal worth 700 million dollars over 20 years.
Why is this big news?
Because as we’ve written before… Crypto is here to stay.  As a society and especially corporations, change is slow to happen and innovation is conservative, especially overturning the structure of how we transact with each other.
This quote from Crypto.com’s Kris Marszalek drives it home even further,
“In the next few years, people will look back at this moment as the moment when crypto crossed the chasm into the mainstream… the next decade belongs to crypto,”
Crypto.com is an online cryptocurrency exchange that allows anyone to access and purchase cryptocurrencies using a debit card.
With current trends pointing towards cryptocurrencies being our currency and NFT’s being our property, it appears that these are mandatory for future technologies and digital economies, will we see Jersey Sponsor evolve into this space as well?
What we'll acknowledge for now is that it would be negligent to ignore these trends and the evolution of our society.
