GenZ loves JRZY
GenZ to us represents the future All Stars, MVPs and everyday athletes that will drive change on the court and in our communities.
As excited as we are to launch our NEW NAME, we want to go back to some of our other pillars of JRZY. While we know that one day every athlete in the world, regardless of age or competition status will have a JRZY we have also noticed a growing trend that we wanted to share, GenZ loves JRZY.
Over the past 6 months we have seen a growing trend of GenZ joining. Since launching in July 2021 every month our largest growth category comes from athletes under 25 Years old (Demographics of GenZ). Currently 83% of athletes on JRZY are part of GenZ.
The three biggest segments on JRZY are Casual, Collegiate and Amateur athletes. All 3 of these segments have an average age of under 24 years old. Each month these segments continue to grow by over 70% more than the retired and professional athlete segments. Last month alone, GenZ athletes signed up at a rate of 173% more than all of the other generations combined.
While the new NIL rights that this group now own may be a driving force in GenZ adopting sports tech platforms, we think it is something more. We noticed how this generation continues to want to actively participate in platforms, not just scrolling around endlessly. Insights from Cloudfare Radar shows that TikTok had more domain searches than Google in 2021 and our users also confirmed the popularity.
GenZ to us represents the future All Stars, MVPs and leaders, activists, and everyday athletes that will drive change on the court and in our communities. That is why our focus has been so strong on these athletes. Not because it’s popular but because supporting them means creating a better future and world for generations to come.
We continue to admire and support this wave of young and hungry athletes and JRZY will continue to make improvements and enhancements that cater to the experiences that resonates with this demographic.
