The UEFA Champions League is back for another exciting season of Europe's elite club competition.

As billions of fans around the world enjoy the round of 16, sportsbooks are already taking bets on winners, top scorers, and other intriguing propositions. But with so many world-class teams and talented individuals involved, where exactly should savvy bettors put their money? Here are a few interesting wagers to consider for the 2023-24 Champions League campaign

Outright Winner Odds

As usual, Manchester City and Real Madrid are near the top of the book. But don't dismiss Bayern Munich at they've reached at least the semifinals in 10 straight seasons, their play in Bundesliga have been bad but they’re still up there in the champions league. PSG  also presents strong cases. Beyond the favorites, keep an eye on Arsenal they've built something special under Arteta.

Top Scorers Odds

Erling Haaland is a worthy favorite at after netting 5 goals en route to lifting the trophy for Real last term. Don’t overlook Kylian Mbappe especially as he pushes for a move from PSG. Jude Bellingham is hungry to shine for Real Madrid in Europe's elite club competition.

Stage Reached

Backing Manchester city for the semifinals could be a solid bet as Guardiola works towards the cup. Meanwhile, a motivated Jude Bellingham could propel Real Madrid to the Semis too.

Correct Scoreline Prop

For a bit of fun, keep an eye on creative markets like "Athletic Madrid to lose to Inter Milan 2-1" or "Barcelona to defeat Napoli 1-0". The margins are often slim at this level.

As the round goes on in this storied tournament, use the pre-match odds creatively.

History shows that on any given night in the Champions League, the unlikeliest of outcomes can - and often do - come to pass.
